Seborrhoeic Dermatitis

What it is

Seborrhoeic dermatitis is a chronic skin condition affecting oil-rich areas, such as the scalp, face and chest.

What it looks like

It presents as red, flaky skin, sometimes accompanied by greasy yellow scales, particularly around the hairline or eyebrows.

Treatment

Medicated shampoos with ketoconazole or selenium sulphide along with anti-inflammatory creams can reduce symptoms.
